Makeup trends fall – winter 2024
Summer is coming to an end and the cold season is just around the corner. Slowly but surely, the days are getting shorter and the first leaves are already falling from the trees. Whoever says change of season also says change of look and wardrobe. Here are some make-up ideas that are on trend to look beautiful and elegant and master this change of season.
Our make-up designer Dorothy Roffat shares with you the looks that will be the hits of this winter season. There's something for everyone in the coming season. From confident lip looks and smokey eyes to brightly coloured eyeliner and blush.
Red lips
An absolute classic for absolute sophistication. Our lips can finally be the centre of attention again. When it's cold and monotonous, a little more colour puts you in a good mood. Burgundy red or dark cherry red lipstick makes your lips glow and creates elegant, chic and attractive lips. Your greatest asset, which requires very little make-up, is bright red lipstick (see Rama with a glossy finish or Avenue with a matte finish).
Rosy cheeks
When it's freezing outside, your cheeks turn rosy. If you can't wait for this moment or if your cheeks aren't naturally rosy when it's cold, you can create it by opting for pink, peach and nude-coloured blush (see Peach, Nude and Plum).
Metallic eyeshadow
Highlight your eyes with iridescent or metallic eyeshadow. Metallic eyeshadow was very popular in the 90s and this one is making a big comeback on our eyes. If you're a fan of eyeliner, now is the time to use it. However, be moderate when applying it. Subtlety is the key word.
Smokey grunge
Let yourself be enchanted by the look of your grunge idols from ‘The Cure’ era. Autumn and especially winter are considered the dark season. It's clear that the weather and the lack of sunshine don't necessarily put us in a good mood.
Fashion and make-up also follow this gloomy trend. Lack of visibility into the distance due to the fog, foggy waking up in the morning due to the bed that holds us, the mirror is also fogged up, therefore equally foggy make-up as we cannot see clearly due to tiredness and therefore lack of precision.
